Hey,
I'm Holly
I'm an emerging software developer with a strong educational background based in Baltimore, MD. I hold both a bachelor's and master's degree in history, as well as a second bachelor's degree in Software Development and Security from UMGC.
My current goal is to become so skilled in coding and software engineering that Beyoncé would hire me. I'm not sure if she really needs a software developer though, so feel free to get in touch if you do!

Weather Widget
The simple weather app is developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. By entering a location into the search bar, users can instantly access the current weather conditions of that area. Additionally, the app automatically generates a background image corresponding to the entered location. With this user-friendly interface, staying updated with weather conditions becomes quick and effortless. The combination of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript ensures a seamless and responsive design, making it accessible on various devices. With its simplicity and functionality, this weather app is a valuable companion for anyone needing accurate and convenient weather information.

In addition, the app provides two viewing modes - light and dark - allowing users to switch between them according to their surroundings and personal preferences. With its interactive features and customizable options, the digital clock app offers a seamless timekeeping experience for users.
Library Database
For my senior project, I collaborated with three other students to develop a library database app. As the project manager, I oversaw the entire process and played a significant role in coding as well. However, it's important to note that the project was a collective effort. Due to privacy considerations, I am unable to publicly share the complete project on this website without the consent of my fellow team members. Nevertheless, I can gladly provide samples of the coding I personally contributed. Versions of the final project, relevant documents, and user guides can be provided privately upon request.

Sample Website
A basic website I created as part of a class project using Python and Flask. This website includes a login feature with authentication functions that adhere to the basic criteria outlined in the NIST SP 800-63b guidelines. These criteria include checking for password complexity and commonly used passwords. Additionally, the website provides a password update form for users to change their passwords. To enhance security, a logger has been implemented to record the date, time, and IP address of all failed login attempts. Once successfully logged in, users can access various pages containing basic elements like text and images.
Online Sudoku Game
A web-based sudoku game developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This game offers a variety of features and options to enhance the playing experience. Players can choose between light and dark modes, depending on their preference. Additionally, the game provides varying difficulty levels to cater to players of all skill levels. A timer is implemented to track the duration of gameplay, adding a competitive element. The game also includes a helpful pause and continue feature, allowing players to take breaks without losing progress. With its user-friendly interface and interactive features, this web-based sudoku game offers an enjoyable and challenging experience for puzzle enthusiasts.
